Yes it is
I've seen cars scrapped because the labour involved in changing the bulb can run into 100's depending on the car

It will depend what, if anything, they've done to the loom.
In an ideal world when you remove the lenses you'll find the standard H4 connector still there and working.
If not I imagine you'll have to wire them back in.
Disclaimer: I have no idea what the wiring/power set up for raybrigs is just thinking out loud as I've been putting standard lights back on my turbo this week.

You will find it actually does.When i fitted HID's and went to switch to main beam the main beam light on dash never worked.
