I've not changed any settings since I bought the car.

You think I should turn it down till I get it set up by someone I know?

Personally my settings for your mods would be 0.8 bar low and 0.95 high .. these are relatively safe settings and what i run my st205 gt4 on now , till i beef up my cooling then i'll push a bit higher .

The weak link on a rev 1 is the headgasket when increasing boost .

Sorted big chap, gd to know.

I'm not too sure of how to set min/max, just saw the percentage gain on Low was 30% so put it back to 0%.

Dont want to put to much of a downer on waking boost up .. i used high boost sparingly for 4 years and then turned it up with water/meth .. rev2 engine, unknown headgasket . 5+ years in total engine survived.

My parts list ..

3" intake.
hks vpc and gcc.
ct20b.
minez ecu.
hks evc 6
Water/meth kit.
mongoose/3" downpipe.
xs 4" intercooler.
Fpr .
Ect...

Just because i did it dont mean i recommend it .. would hate for you to kill your motor because you copied me 8-[

Not at all, that's fair enough mate.

End of the day I'm still learning whats ideal with these cars and it's been a steep learning curve but I'm up for it :thumleft:

It's brilliant at 1.1bar but I've found pro spec tuning guides so Ill get it sorted.

Another question I had was, if the Rev1 ECU struggles with lower octane fuel than 99 am I always best using Tesco Momemtum as it'll run richer with 95-98?

All MR2 Turbos should be run with any of the high octane fuels.

Fuel mixture will not be altered or affected in any way by fuel octane rating.

Fair enough, was sure I've read posts saying the ECU will run rich on lower octane fuels to safe guard the engine.

Gd to clear that up.

It can pull ignition timing using the knock sensor but that is bad practice.

IMO leave the stock airbox in. If you must spend some money, get a drop in filter for the box. A downpipe and 3" exhaust and a ct20b wakes the thing up like the difference between day and night.

I ran 12.7 @ 109mph on my '91 turbo and 12.8 @ 110mph on my '90 turbo both with the stock airbox.
