That sounds like good progress though. Bad news with the tyres, are you running lots of camber now...? Have to get another run organised to a rural chippy soon :D

Yeah we need another day out soon, that trip to inverary was brilliant.

Small update, replaced the subframe today which was a nightmare. Fitted poly arb bushes on the rear while I was at it and fitted the replacement control arms. Front tie rods and trd anti roll bar are fitted. Just need the geometry done now and mapping next week.

Nice tidy work area

New sub frame cleaned up a bit

I took the car to performance hq in dalgety bay today for mapping. Russel was a great guy,he was happy for me to be in the booth to see exactly what was happening. I was aiming for a bit more power to make use of the new parts and we thought 330 brake max. At 1.15 bar it's running 325ish at the fly which is ideal. He said more power could be had at that boost level but i was happy the way it was. Had the car out for a run earlier and it feels superb,no and smooth and the td06 certainly makes a difference, glad I bought it now.

The car is booked in for inner tie rods and an oil change on Monday then the highland drive on Thursday

Good work Glen, I am glad you finally managed to get it mapped. I know the td06 is regarded as a bit old fashioned these days but they make quite a bit of difference over stock don't they.

do you know the specs of the TD06 that came with the ATS kit? was it a td06H or SL2? which exhaust housing did it have (8cm or 10cm?) I'm quite interested in going with a similar spec later on this year...

Cheers

Sorry Rob, I don't know the spec. they were using, I have just been on their website to have a look for the information and the spec. isn't listed.
My TD06 is a mitsubishi td06-20g converted to external wastegate.
Peter Gidden from Sbits used too/maybe still does order quite a few parts from ATS for customers and I think he may know the answer to your question.

Yeah it has made a big difference over the ct20, that bit of extra power and a proper map has totally changed the car. It did take me a while to get it mapped though!

As for specs of the kit peter is the guy to ask,he was the one who imported it for the original owner .

Put the car into a local garage for an oil and filter change, stayed with Mobil 1. Also had the inner tie rods replaced and the steering rack gaitor while it was being done.

Jim I'll take a picture of the printout the guy gave me and upload it to photobucket.

I eventually got the old knackered indicators changed today,I got a set of smoked indicators in swap for some strut braces. They actually fit without popping out all the time! Even that has got me happy :D

I wasn't sure I'd like them but if think with the dark wheels they work nicely.

Not an exiting update, got some new front tyres as the avons were scrubbed on the inside and were out of shape. Went for some toyo proxes t1rs as they are soft like the r1rs on the rear. £162 fitted and balanced which was cheaper than black circles.
