Which version of the EVC is it? Post a pic if you're not sure. If it's one of the most recent models I should have a copy of the instruction manual in English.

Sorry I don't have the instructions for that one, it's a very old model.

Appears it's the Pro version of the EVC IV, so you may find the instructions for that unit helpful.

RE RPM signal etc, maybe someone with an AVCR can let you know where they tapped into to get those signals?

I couldn't find a manual anywhere either. I found this, which might explain why:

"EVC PRO
The EVC PRO is for professional use and installation only. Designed for highly tuned vehicles and race applications, the EVC PRO is adjustable up to 3.0Kpa (43.51psi) and incorporates all the functions of the EVC IV along with additional race inspired features. The EVC PRO takes input from the vehicles ECU and sensors to allow for adjustments to boost levels and characteristics to enhance performance. Boost curves can be programmed to variables such as, engine rpm and throttle position or vehicle speed. For example, when the vehicle begins to accelerate, boost levels will be at a preset level. As the vehicle gets into higher rpm range, the EVC Pro can be programmed to raise the boost level as the vehicle’s speed increases. This would limit lower rpm wheel spin while maintain full power potential at the higher RPMs. A built-in atmospheric pressure sensor (ATM) provides enhanced consistency in boost pressure regardless of various atmospheric conditions.

EVC Pro features

Adjustable up to 3.0bar (43.50psi)
Throttle position, engine rpm, vehicle speed inputs
5 RPM settings from 500-12,000 RPM in 100 RPM increments
