Hi,
I have spent a while using the search button and found some useful information on possible causes of my current notchy third gear (especially going from 2nd to 3rd).
There is no crunch it is a case of having to be very forceful to get it into gear. On the down change from 4th to 3rd it is better and if I match the revs on the way down it slips in perfectly.
I have tried rotating the sugar cube and I have put on new linkages and bushes, as well as making sure the cables are free with minimal bends. None of the above have solved the issue.
Before I write it off as being an internal gearbox problem is there anything else it could be?

Would new oil really make that much difference? Happy to try if it does

Unlikely to do anything. If you have checked everything external is ok then it will be internal. Bet it is a Rev 1 or 2 box?

Nope Rev 3.
I changed the oil just incase and no real difference. I guess it is internal.
Time to find a new box!

Bad news mate. Try find a Rev5 box as they are the only NA box with the uprated synchros.
