As part of my 2014 upgrades on the car, i spent time today fabricating my bespoke Supercharger belt idler setup, using Goukys mount on the 2gr leaves no route for the belt to run back to the crank, which you kinda need! This is not the fault of the mount, which is excellent, just a case of the Mr2 having a different mounting arrangement than the Evora.

I designed this pulley setup last year but only now followed it through.

The smaller smooth surface pulley and its bracket are from a Renault clio, it was the smallest pulley i could find to sit in that very confined area, the good news is it had a couple of very well placed bolt holes that just happened to be in the right place for the 2gr engine.

sometimes the swap gods just smile upon you.

The 7 rib pulley beneath that is from a Landrover Discovery TD5, a very heavy duty item, luckily its spacer also provided the correct offset to align it with the 2gr pulleys.

I then made a stub that i tig welded onto the mount which grabs the pulley from the front as well as the rear.

over engineering, i love that xxxx.

I've also welded spacer blocks to the mount to leave that 25mm further from the block.

So there we go, this will allow my SC belt to run behind the mount and will give me a factory belt wrap circumference around the crank pulley.

I have to reroute the 2gr VVti oil feed line

(Evora item looks correct) and order a custom belt.

This whole set up will mean i have to redo all of my engine mounts, but i had to do this anyway with the impending 6 speed gearbox upgrade which will be covered later this year.

This setup will fit my car and my car only, it cannot be used on a Mk2 or Mk3 unless the 6 speed was also used.

My engine will be coming back out in a month or so for this Supercharger upgrade.
