Cheapest place to buy spare parts.

I'm currently completely overhauling my MR2 Turbo.

The easiest way to go abut this, would be to source the parts in Denmark (I'm from Denmark) But as the prices are very high in Denmark, I figure the next best thing is to buy from the UK.

So I'm currently looking for a good shop to place my order at. I'll be buying quite a lot I think so hopefully I'll be able to get a little discount.

So far I've found:

Fensport.co.uk

Buy I'm curious as to know if you know of a better place to source the parts? So far I'm leaning towards TCBparts as they seem the cheapest.

Parts like: Wheel bearings, brakes, dust shields, abs sensors, bushings, steering components, cooling components, components for a transmission rebuild, electric speedo. Also looking for a good deal on a Quaife lsd.

Can anyone comment on MR2-ben.co.uk?
Overpriced or overall good shop?

When comparing it to TCB with regards to wheel bearings,
TCB offer "Solid Auto" bearings which, as far as I can see, is a Chinese company
While MR2-Ben.co.uk offer FAG bearings which I know is a well renowned Indian company.

This is all assuming that I'm not going to buy expensive genuine Toyota parts. Now "Solid Auto might be fine quality as well, but I'm not sure. So while TCB might seem cheaper at first glance, maybe MR2-Ben offers superior quality items?

China, but the parts are going to come from there if you only want cheap and nothing that will last very long

I think I may end up going with MR2-ben.co.uk as I have the feeling that I will be getting overall better quality there compared to the parts at TCB. I'll just have to pay a little bit more.

TCB sell Genuine Toyota parts so I don't quite understand how you will get better quality than that?

Ah well. I don't think I will end up buying genuine Toyota parts as the car will only be used in a very limited time every year.. Genuine Toyota parts are a lot more expensive and I believe the other brands will suffice with regards to the limited mileage they will see.
And looking at non genuine Toyota parts, I think MR2-ben offers better quality brands than TCB. But I might be wrong?

I havent had a look or chance to buy anything from either or but if im interpreting what rich is saying then i understand tcb offer genuine toyota for less than mr2ben aftermarket parts then i dont see logic in going for mr2ben?

Price vs Quality.

Different people have a different opinions over value - who's to say what view is right or wrong.

However, some components like dizzy cap and rotor arms are a good example, its simply not worth skimping over.

Penny pincher's owners will skimp over £40 extra on a vital component that they are going to get a potential 2~3 years good service from .... then go and put £80 petrol in the car !

I can't understand some peoples logic ....

As I stated earlier. I am not looking for china parts (too cheap). However (just to give an example) if the choise is between a genuine Toyota wheel bearing and a FAG wheel bearing, then FAG is by far good enough for me. They have been in the buisness for many years and plenty of good reviews tell me that this is a quality item. They may not be in Toyota league, but they are good enough.

GSF sell the rear fag bearing £34, nothing wrong with it but time will tell.

But always go genuine when I can and some parts like service items, filters etc only use genuine.
