A little help

Took all my throttle body off to clean it as cars been standing a long time. Can someone tell me of the part in the pics should be tight to open or very very lose to open. Cheers

That looks like the idle control vavle, and as such, should be a nice smooth action. If it's tight the engine will struggle to idle at the correct speed when cold.

Yeah thanks was stiff, cleaned it put all back together and car idles lovely now

Did you use carburettor cleaner......good job.
