i'd love to see how a 1.5 goes, i can't even imagine how a 250bhp car of that weight would go!!! must be bonkers!!! I've promised myself i'll have one one day!!

thanks i am hoping it will be bonkers, it will be standard for a while..
but running arp studs and metal head gasket.. so it will run more power.. just want it up and running before playing gonna be great fun
i want it to scare me only other car i have had to scare me was my 650hp supra


side note.. the exhaust is an apexi

well it runs idles irratically so it has a air leak to looking into

but when sorting the fiesta for sale i saw that the mk1.5 had been sick all over the floor



grrrr

found to be oil filter relocator where one of the pipes goes in
and its a pig to get at..
so taken off the exhuast so i can set that sorted, will prob end up removing down pipe so i can get filter relocator and most likely take it off and just put the filter in place
also sending peter G back the air flow meter he kindly lent me so gotta see if mine works..
its kanda going backwards at the moment grrr but getting there..

not fustrated with it this time.. its just gets done when its done and can say i done it,
my end up getting a weekend runner na mk2 or similar to stop me going insane in the mondeo , then i can just take my time with the mk1 rather than rush it..

oh yeah i know that.. keeping me busy.. still know i got loads of jobs to do, just didnt want to have to get to the oil relocator..
weather is defo against me at the mo i am soaked. just came in from getting exhaust off

soo next job is sort exhaust and the oil filter.. but i know it runs now..
just getting it to run smooth will be next big step and looking forward to hearing the apexi on it

not good this got onto page2!!!!!!

well back on it now with new burst of energy
Today done a lot of those little jobs that have needed top be done
Removed oil relocation filter as need a new seal and replaced with just the oil filter
Dug out and fitted the turbo heat sheild, thought it looked messy so brought it to work for a clean up
Sikaflexed the front and rear engine mounts
dug out the under tray to refit

ordered a new Air mass meter
Drilled out after a bolt snapped and refitted engine latch






you never know there is hope for JAE yet.....

this winter will see all suspension off for de-rusting and powdercoating and poly bushing
