 You all know me well

I don't have the car to spend my time playing with or spending money on bits for it, so I seem to spend my time and money on Japanese auction sites instead. Its nice having such a large and rare magazine and book collection to flip through. What can I say - I'm an easily pleased obsessed geek!

Peter has finished off the other head over the past few days and I should be furnished with photos of the progress shortly

I had a set of later rev hook style wiper arms delivered today but they were in need of a bit of work. I won't bore you all with loads of photos but I took them back to bare metal and primered it. Following this I set up a small spray section in my garden and sprayed them up using hard wearing black paint. I then fitted the new Bosch wipers in preparation for them going on the car shortly

Here is how they look now:

Photos will go up of the engine shortly :thumleft:

I've already spoken to Peter a couple of times today and know the car is going well. So more photos later - bottom end almost finished being inspected and cleaned up internally :thumleft:

Cant replace a magazine, but :study:

That's a nice link - thanks for that. It should give me a bit of reading in my spare time

The deadline is looming - I can't wait!!
Only 9 days until the end of the month \:D/

Well as the car pick up is now very close I've started to stock up on more bits for when I get it back (there is already a wardrobe full of bits to go it in but a few more can't hurt! ). Boring though it is I've had this delivered:

Image

This is to plug all of the holes in the tweeters. I intend to fill the holes with foam and then cover and fill with silicone. I intend to cut down on excess road noise and engine noise. It sort of goes hand in hand with another job that is impending... Next month I intend to sound deaden both of the doors, the tweeter areas and possibly the firewall. This isn't something that I can afford yet but I will probably do it after payday. This month I did buy a mini roller for the application of the sound deadening sheets (spreading the costs and all that)

Image

Meanwhile Peter has disconnected the old 3sfe engine and its being held in the car by only a few bits and bobs:

Image

And my car with its ass in the air

Image

Here's the full job list for the next 9 days
- Finish V6 rebuild
- Port and polish
- Remove 3sfe
- Fit V6
- Fit new LSD gearbox
- Fit new clutch and flywheel
- Fit braided clutch hose
- Fit my new trackpad ends and ball joints
- Source and fit aftermarket air intake
- Replace radiator with new aluminium radiator and new fans
- Clean mr2 engine bay
- Wire engine lid fans
- Finish polybushing the entire car
- Alter speedo so it works with the new gearbox
- Reset odometer to 0
- Ensure there is a de-limiter if needed
- Fit original JDM flare & holder
- Fit new unrated fuel pump
- Wire internal clock in
- Sort out nasty knocking on the front of the car
- x4 wheel alignment
- Order and fit custom exhaust and custom exhaust pipework

The old exhaust has been removed and is now sold.
The radiator has also been removed in preparation for the new one going in
Lots of pictures to come this week :thumleft:

Peters made good progress and the engine was removed yesterday. The fuel tank has started to be dropped for the fuel pump to be replaced as well, and the radiator is pretty much done :thumleft:

Old ugly lump out

And a mass void awaiting clean up, prep and a far beefier engine block

Peter has been replacing the fuel pump with a new upgraded warlbro one so the tank has been dropped to do this. It should be completed today and there should hopefully be a few more photos imminently :thumleft:
