My cable doesn't seem long enough, the cable reaches but the wire is a tad to short
Is that washers either side I the black bracket to hold the cable?

The washers were a make shift way of adjusting the slack in the cable. They were cut through to enable them to be used as shims.

Good work. I love the simplicity of the coolant level indicator :thumleft:

wanted to have done more but the weather has not really been in my favour
Image

but today was clear so managed to finish the boot today, quite pleased,

yes I know the battery should be under bonnet etc, but I would like at least one usable space are in the car so using the boot for everything then can use under bonnet, if I do find it causes an issue I will move it later on

I started to do the gear linkages today, but really struggling with them, that's gonna take some head scratching(and phone calls), and a spring clip I have lost

drive shafts also now have boots on and just need putting on the car, alternator belt and heat shield, exhaust on and she's ready to go...

Looking good Pete. As for the battery in the boot... that's what I did. It meant I had enough space in the front to carry all the tools I needed. Just in case!
