It's been done a lot, check out the forum TwoBrutal for all the info on engine swaps (V6s, V8/10/12s also!). You'll have annoying problems being the early rev1 like a mechanical speedo instead of electric though.

Today I managed to get a key cut using the drivers door barrel, and so I can at least take the steering lock off, put on the jump pack and it doesn't turn over, or hear a fuel pump priming, but have feeling the old Clifford alarm is causing that problem so tomorrow will start hacking out the alarm and hopefully start her and see what happens :)

Will also try and get on the ramp see what 9months of English weather has done :pale:

its alive....

after 20 odd minutes cut out the old clifford alarm and ended up with this

and then this happened

a little rattly until oil got everywhere, but none starts and runs sweet, will get her on the ramp and see whats what, there is slight knocking from the front some where and need to sort out the sill where some idiot jacked it up wrong, may even treat her to a service and k&n panel filter

need to give it a good clean and sort her out a radio, but so far £115.50 spent

so the girl failed her MOT, anti roll bar links all round, ball joints all round, and front shocks no dampening effect, and rust on the sills at the back

so sorted this lot out:

the shocks and springs in the post thats to MrTwo, and hopefully spend some time fitting all this next week

but what cleaning/valet products do people use, esp looking at turning the pink to red

I always use Meguair's..
Ultimate compound would do what you want followed by a polish, don't forget to claybay it first though..

Or i use meguiars 205 (check amazon) :thumleft:

Not too bad for an mo for what you paid for the car.. keeping an eye, good luck :thumleft:

now running again, then cut out and smoked from the engine, thinking the worst the coil pack had burnt out it was rotten and full of rust

suspension all fitted, still a knock from the front must be the anti roll bar d bushes, will sort a set out asap.

then time bust out the welder and repair the sills at the back
