Well bought the wiring harness of my engine into work tonight to have a looksie about saving it
Its bloody terrible
Crimps here and there,
heat shink fallen off
cables changing colour then back again
cable hanging loose
plug gone/smashed

no wonder it was blowning fuses in its last car

So decided as i have a new harness from Peter Gidden and i have my 4age Harness i am going to install the new loom onto the engine.
Use that and start the wiring from scratch using Paul's guide, that way i know where i am and what cables are what

Will use the old loom as a cable doner

So something else to look forward too

The toyota on the engine is now red and picking up the engine gaskets tomorrow so can get on with building it back up

gotta work out how to fit the fuel pump as well

Nice work! :thumleft:

If you're not fitting aircon, I'd recommend putting a bolt in the hole through the water pump into the block where the ac bracket went.

oh and the fitting for the top of the bottom cover, is on a little bracket that comes of the plate that sits against the head and block behind the belt. If that makes any sense. its prob just bent.

Only a small update
Not been on it for a while not had time or motivation

But got ar$e in gear went back out tonight
Got the oil filter relocation and pipe work on
Down pipe on

Took throttle body ody and injectors or to retrieve couple of dropped washers, put back on
Wiring loom put in place and connected the injectors and throttle body
Got a few q's about where plugs go etc as it came to me in a mess with plugs broken

Gotta look at connecting the last few vac hoses which I am unsure about ( call to mr Gidden coming soon) and the coolant hoses

Will clean up the gear box and paint tomorrow hopefully
Really want this done now so going to monster on with it
