Photoshop request please :D

Post by KarlBristol »

My car is currently in the garage having some bodywork being done to it. I've requested that the front number plate is removed, the area smoothed over and the number plate is then relocated just slightly lower in the recessed grill area (fixed to the top of the grill area if that makes sense - so the plate will fix to brackets that screw up into the recessed area).

I am also going to be having the front debadged

I fancy a sneeky peak at what my car will look like before I pick it up in a month or so (and to cheer me up after a terrible day!) Can someone please photoshop the debadge and relocated numberplate?

I definately prefer that!

Thanks for the photoshop - especially being so speedy with it. :D

I'm thinking if its set back a little bit it will be more subtle and you can appreciate the bodywork more. I just feel with it stuck in its current place it ruins the lines of the car!

Opinions?

Oh - and thanks re the 3sfe bumper. I love it, and its rather rare nowadays :thumleft:

I like it :thumleft:

Thanks for the pic...

Definately gives a smoother finish to the car and doesn't foul up the lines of the car

In two minds now as to weather to have it mounted where I originally thought or where you've got it! lol

Expect the engine to run significantly hotter with that much disruption to the airflow to the radiator. I would strongly advise against putting the number plate in this location.

I used to have mine there but i didn't like it much.

I then got one made up to fit in the import holder which i think looks much better and you dont have any cooling issues as pointed out above :thumleft:

Switch to a jdm sized plate.
Looks much better on the front than the uk sized one does IMO.

Well I've just ordered a new plate - apparently the smallest legal plate that you can get

The standard is 21" x 4.5"

I'm getting 16" x 4.5"

It doesn't sound like huge differences but visually it will make a big impact, and will still allow a lot of air to the radiator - problem solved :thumleft:

I did contemplate an import plate, but I prefer UK plates...

Much prefer import size plates, mine are just slighly smaller than 'legal' limit, the typeface that is, although never had any bother, just don't go too small and keep to the standard typeface and style so as to not attract attention...

I reckon a stick on would look best but not sure how the MOT treats them these days. Cleanest lines and no heat issues. Mines just passed OK again...
