I am selling one of my MR2's to fund a new project, I purchased this from a member on here about 10 months ago now, It has served me well as a winter run a round but now its not being used,
Here we have a 1993 Toyota MR2 in Rev 2 apparrel.
It is the japan only G-limited spec wich entails a/c and a Limited slip differential. This car came to the uk in early 2005 and has been under sealed (I have re done this about 6 months ago) So it is completley rust free. I have enclosed some pictures of the sills wich are the achillies heel of the SW20 model, as you will see they are entirley rust free. The car itself drives very tight and I have really noticed the difference since I have stopped using it how well it really drives.
The handaling is still tight as it should be. Also the engine doesnt use a drop of oil and still goes very nicley. The spec is as follows.
3S-GE 2.0 16v Twin cam engine,
Tin top body
(improved structual rigidity)After market Crystal head lamps
(very bright and still road legal) Stainless steel exhaust system
(looks custom but very well constructed)Clifford alarm and immobiliser with external motion sensors.
Aftermarket steering wheel
16" Alloy wheels
(scruffy but still straight with 2 brand new tyres)Aftermarket intake filter and crankcase breather.
CD player with usb port will be left with car.
The car has a couple of months MOT remaining but has no TAX
(I can re-tax at buyers expense)As a 19 year old car will be it has a few imperfections and I will be as honest as I can so here goes.
As the pictures will show the car has turned a shade of Toyota racing pink but it does polish back. The r/h headlamp sometimes sticks and to fix this you can re grease the worm drive in the motor and work the lamp as it gets tight and the motor cuts the power to stop it burning out, I leave the lamps up and it doesnt bother me as they still work. The gerenral apperance of the car is a little scruffy for example the front bumper has been repainted poorly and there is a patch of rust on the passenger door. The air con does not work and the belt has been removed so I suspect the compressor has seized, The car runs fine without the belt. 3rd gear can be a little crunchy on fast downshifts but works on when driven normally. If can sort this out I will try to find the time,Mileage is 161000 but is a mix of km's and miles
Ideally this MR2 would make a good project or a great budget track car.
This day and age MR2's are worth more in parts, I have not got the space or time or the heart to do any of this. V5 and history with the car.
