(www.trademotion.com) to ask if they'll do a discount on the parts needed to do the extended 5th gear mod (33428-32040 and 33336-33020). My local toyota parts dept quoted me £210 for these, but this place in the US (which is the only one I've looked at so far) is knocking them both out for $189, or £117 in real money. Obviously shipping will need to be added on, and I'm assuming those lovely people at HMRC will hold them hostage when they arrive until a ransom has been paid. If the supplier can get the price down a bit more, and ship them to one address in the UK I think it could definately be worth following up.
Would anyone else be interested? obviously it depends on price, I'd like to think that if we got, say 10% off their price, combined shipping, HMRC pillaging etc, £140 should be do-able perhaps? that said, I'm guessing these thigns aren't light so shipping might be our biggest enemy? anyway, just putting the feelers out, i tried to post in the group byu bit but I'm not allowed??
