We have had so many problems with cheap things from ebay not lasting and having to buy again we just get the best now first time, its just not worth buying cheap. All we are doing is giving money to China for crap

That car is amazing.

I was going to have a silencer straight from the rear of my turbo but I'm going to go for that set up instead now. Anything to keep the heat away from the intercooler.

As you can see lots of room out where the old intercooler was and not cutting the sills as in that photo

As in all things you just have to know what you are doing

Can I see a birds eye view of this in the engine bay please?

I'm more inclined to go for this as oppose to cutting/welding my sills.

Can you send me a link where I'd get the correct silencer please?
Cheers.

So, aluminised or stainless? What's best?

What fittings has your son used?

Where could I buy a flange that'd fit the standard turbo? The car is rev 4 so ct20b, that right?

Would I need to chop the flange off my Berk dp?

Stainless is best but will cost more. We just cut up pipe and welded it.
You will need to have a flange made up or as you say cut off a decat pipe.
I would sell the Berk and see if anyone has an old cracked dp

I bought the same brand of silencers on ebay, so it's not all just rubbish chinese turd...

There are also people on there who sell flanges ready to be welded to 3" steel tube, if you dont want to butcher a down pipe.

Sure i've seen the std turbo flange on ebay but cant find one now.

Can buy one here though

http://www.koracing.net/old/products.html

Almost at the bottom of the page labelled, flanges, flanges, flanges.

I realise it's a us site, probably find a uk supplier if you scour google.

Car is away getting cage, bmic and side exit done. Went up for a look today and the side exit using a 410mm 3" oval silencer won't be happening...
The silencer is pretty much on top of the water hose and fairly close to the brake servo hose (I think it's that... 90 degree bend above intercooler pipes at engine cover hinge on the right?).

Back to the drawing board. Need to have an idea by end of the week.
