Another interesting observation. In the previous pic, you can see that the hole in the centre is of smaller diameter than the outer ones. In the pic below, you can see that the outer holes are considerably bigger diameter than the bolt (ie nowhere near as snug a fit as the centre hole is with the same bolt). This leads me to think that maybe the threaded bit needed for the outer holes actually has a circular bit in the middle that acts as a guide for the speedflap, and thus takes up the excess in the diameter? Would have been good, Frank, if you could have removed at least one of those bolts! ;)

Anyway, the 2nd pic:

Thanks for the pics frank ; you're a star!
I have the same troubles as Dino on this.
For starters does the outer screw go into the arch liner or the back end or the front splitter?
...and are there nuts on the inside of the liner to secure the screws :? :? ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

They don't include the wheel arch, mate. There's just a rib in the wheelarch, and these deflectors follow that contour so that they seal against the arch. They *are* basic things, but to try and knock something up from scratch that would look reasonably ok would be a false economy IMHO.

You've got to wonder whether the time spent is actually worth less than just buying them. Normally, that's how I personally compare prices on things that I could make myself. I look at the price, look at how many hours it would cost me to make one, and if the cost to buy the thing ready is considerably cheaper than my time to make it I just go ahead and buy it! ;)

Dino, i've got those bits (2 of) coming in on saturday from Mr T , so i'll let you know what they are!

has anyone who has fitted these done a before / after comparison?

This is a little modification I really fancy doing (as long as it works!)

MR2Mania, when are you fitting yours?

Ryan, did you get these bits in the end? I avoided ordering them until I heard from you that they were the right bits.

Anyone have any more to report?

Fitting is easy.

No idea why MrT only lists two bolts. I used three of them (bolts with washer built in), and 3 flanged nuts. Took 10 mins per side.

Peter, can you confirm the part no for those "flanged nuts"?

Is it either of these part nos?

Since i have a large stock of MrT fasteners, i chose the best parts for the job:

Bolts x 3 : 90119-06779
Nuts x 3 : 90179-06274

I ordered all the attaching bits and got 2 (per side) screws with washers (non tapping types) and 4 bush things which already come as part of the flap.
Where did those part no.s for the bolts come from Peter??

Hmmm..... :?

They came from me :-)

I didn't like what the EPC supplied, so i looked through my stock and chose suitable M6 washer head bolts and M6 flanged nuts. Perfect job 8)
