[Mk2] [Turbo] Speed sensor and boost gauge??????

Have error code 42 no speed signal, need to know where the speed sensor is and how to test. its rev3 so no speedo cable. also the boost gauge reads positive boost all the time even on tickover. car has been stood for 2 years and ran for the last 5 months but these have not settled down, any ideas.

speedo sensor is on the gearbox, if you look down the engine on the dizzy side, it's hiding there. It could be wiring or possibly the plastic cog chewed by the gearbox - nothing too serious but you will need a new one... positive boost reading possibly a split hose somewhere..
