I have a rev2 turbo which i recently had a heavy oil leak coming from the oil pump, as it was very awkward to get to i decided to take the engine out to fix it, also when the engine is out it would be easy to
'clean up' so to speak the engine. so as well as a new oil pump seal it had new cambelt, alternator
(as the old one was not charging), all new ignition components, new air filter, and a steel headgasket fitted. I also fitted a rev3 ct20b turbo and aftermarket intercooler with a manual boost controller.I have disconnected the T-VSV so that the manual boost controller would work.
However when i drive the car i find that the revs get to about 2500 - 3000rpm and then nothing much else happens apart from the engine bouncing around as if its hit a rev limiter! Also in 3rd gear and above it takes its time to 'wind up' and get anywhere. I am not sure wether i have something set up wrong but any advise would be greatly appretiated!
