The Rubber boot has split on the gear selector, does anyone know how to get the end off to enable me to put a new one on? when I undo the nut the bolt going through the arm will not budge!!

Someone must know how to remove this, to enable me to replace the rubber boot that's missing?

That is not an easy thing to do with the gearbox on a bench so going to be very hard with it in the car.
I had to put a lot of heat into the bolt then shock it with lots of cold water to get it out. Then had to use a puller to get it off the shaft.

I think the new rubber boot £13.35

I came to the same conclusion, I was hoping this wasn't the case. I have the rubber boot but I may just use somthing else to protect it that I can slide over the end of the selector, not the best solution
