I decided to take the outer top of door/bottom of window outer black strip off and noticed that the 2 brushes that force the window inwards had rusted off

rear of brush

I found them in the bottom or the door, damp and dirty.

The best way of sorting this problem is to buy new seals

The brushes are basically material looped around a metal strip with a hole in each side, where its riveted to the strip, thus forcing the window glass base againts the car when the window is up.

I carefully pushed a small thin screwdriver through the loop, where the rusted metal strip runs and then threaded some electrical wire through the material loop, then pushed it through the rivet holeds in the plastic strip, tying a tight knot at the rear.

I then super glued the brush in place for extra strength.

I have yet to re fit the strip, but will report back to see if its made a difference.

I know it appears a bit of a bodge, but I begrudge spending
