MR2 Turbo GT - Spec, T-Bar 94 Revision 70k miles £2700 no offers

Post by zakkz »

Hi all

*My wife is getting induced tomorrow morning - so this is going cheap*

I've got a baby coming soon, so it's time for my other baby to go!

This is a very reluctant sale and wouldn't be selling my pride and joy otherwise

The modifications I have done are as follows:

Engine:
Apexi AVCR set at 1kg/cm2
Turbo Technics CT20b turbo rebuilt with steel shaft (fitted less than 6 months ago - I still have the receipt and it is under warranty for another 1.5 years)
Blitz Supersound Dump Valve
Apexi Powerflow Intake Air Filter
Demilited
NGK BKR6EIX Iridium Spark Plugs
Magnecor KV85 Ignition Leads
Aussie Downpipe
Departure II Exhaust

Interior
S2000 Engine Start Button
AVCR housed in ashtray
Defi Boost Gauge
Voltage Gauge
Moulded 1 piece A Pillar Pod
Short Shifter (not sure of the make, bought from USA)
Chrome Gear Surround
Leather Gear Gator
Carbon fibre - effect X3 racing flat top & bottom steering wheel
Heel & Toe metal "MR2" Embossed Pedals
"Man in Danism" matts
Blue Neon footwell lights
Half leather half suede seats
Air Conditioning
Power steering
Electric Mirrors
Relocated cigarette lighter

Exterior
Carbon Fibre Border style vented bonnet
Debadged
Windscreen wiper mounted washers
Rota 17" 5 split-spoke alloys
Carbon Fibre centre caps
Eagle F1's all round - 235/35/17 on the back and 215/40/17 on the front
Tom's Air Scoop on the air filter (passenger side)
Black tinted side indicator lights
Crystal clear side lights
Polyurethene bushes

There are probably a load of other mods that I have forgotten about, so I will update as and when I remember.

Along with all of the above, I have the original 15" wheels and tyres, 2 oils filters, distributer cap, rotor arm and leads from toyota (unopened)

I also have all of the previous MOTs and recipts for all the stuff I have spent on the car! I've had the car for about 6 years and cared for it like a baby - no expenses spared!

I'm trying to be as honest as possible, and don't want to waster anyone's time, so I am listing all of the negatives as well, which are as follows:
The speed sender seems to be loose from when it was delimited or when the AVCR was put on - so the speedo sometimes cuts out intermittently
The electric mirrors seem to only work on one side (this looks like a fuse problem though - I'll check it this weekend)
The alloys are scuffed
There are a few blemishes on the paint on the front splitter and rear bumper. There is also a paint blemish on the driver's side door.

It has had regular oil and filter changes every 3 to 4 months, even though I drive it less than 3,000 miles a year.

I cycle to work, so this is just a weekend/good weather car, with very little use.

It is an excellent example and has only had one previous owner - who was a friend of mine. I know all the history of this car and it is an absolute stunner.

The extras I am throwing in with the car are as follows:
The original 15" alloys that came as standard on the car (there are currently 17" alloys on the car)
Halfords Oil Filter
Genuine Toyota Oil Filter
Genuine Toyota HT Leads
Distributor Cap
Rotor Arm

This is a VERY reluctant sale, and if there was any way I could afford to keep the car, I would.

The car is located in South London Merton (close to Wimbledon, Raynes Park and Morden)

Please email for more pictures, and I will try to put some more of the interior up just as soon as I take them.

I wanted £4,300 and I would very much like the car to go to someone who will look after it!

My phone number is 07863329010

No replies or interest yet - just wondering if I have priced it too high or there are any problems with the description.

Fellow sellers - do you have any tips to attract buyers?

I've got the old panel...might just do that!

I thought it improved the airflow to the airfilter though

Unless it's an original one, it won't.

Ok, I'm going to fish around for the original panel and put it back on.

I'll re-post pics once the original is back on.

Thanks for your comments guys - much appreciated!

The mileage is in the region of 75k miles if I remember correctly. I'll take a picture of the odometer with the correct mileage on it

Hi all

My wife is being induced tomorrow morning, so I'd like to sell this ASAP

I've dropped the price to only £3300

I'm sorry, but the scoop is still on as I can't seem to find the original piece.

One of my reflectors was stolen a few days ago, and I will not be selling any of the extras with the car. I will also be removing the stereo.

Here are a few more photos, showing the limited edition black AVCR, MR2 heel and toe pedals, one piece moulded A Pillar, engine start button and the including the odometer and the steering wheel.

The extra stalk you can see is a sony remote for the stereo, which will also be removed prior to sale

Just like to say a thank you for the advice I've had on this thread

Wish me luck for tomorrow!

Hi

Do you have the original bonnet, steering wheel, gear surround?

Also, are the tyres good on the standard wheels? Drop me a pm if you fancy doing a deal without the modded bonnet, wheels, steering wheel, scoop and gear surround. You can sell them on afterwards ;-)

congrats on the baby by the way

cheers

Hi mate

I may have the original surround, but don't have any of the rest of the bits and pieces - I just wanted a minimum amount of hassle selling all the bits together

I've now dropped the price to £2700 no offers

If this doesn't work then I'll be breaking it for parts - the parts of interest will probably be as follows:

Turbo Technices ct20b turbo with steel shaft (less than 1k miles use)
Carbon Fibre Bonnet
Limited edition Black Apexi AVCR
Departure 2 Exhuast
Aussie Downpipe
Apexi Air Filter
Moulded A Pillar
Short Shifter
