[Mk2] [Generic] Short shift kit

Hello. I've seen some short shift kits on ebay for £25 now i'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them and if they are any good over stock. I've a mk2 rev2 na. Cheers

yup, I have one and it works fine, shortens the throw and for £25 its a good cheap mod

And did you find the gear knob to low to use?
Have heard this is a common problem with some short shifters, that they are too low to use.

do you adapt the OEM gear knob to it?!?

looks the same from the pic, you can screw the oem knob on yea

only thing be prepared to modfiy it as the gear change rods hit the gear stick, this is not a major problem as can be modified to fit most people i know who have had the ones from ebay have had to do the same, really no drama if you have a grinder or dremmel just make sure you re grease it aswell it can be a messy job but not hard at all , i done gear selector bearings at the same time real good mod to do together gear changes a lot more positive.
