I had a Rev3 block put into my Rev2, but had it done by a garage and didn't actually have any involvement in it!

If swapping the gearbox as well then will need to do something about the speedo drive(easiest thing to do would be to move the mechanical drive from the rev1 gearbox onto the rev3 one).
Unless it's a very good N/A it's probably not worth doing..
