Lets not get out of hand.

Theres always going to be the for and against arguements over the Vs section and bovs on rev 1/2's and whether to get a MK1 or MK2! The point of this post was someone taking some responsibilty and warning fellow imocers not to behave in a dangerous manner on the road.

He is right.

Well done Rory.

My views are similar to most.

Dont do it in traffic, around town, on country lanes, at all really.

I admit to having the odd blast.

I have only ever

"raced" really late at night when there is no one on the road and only ever on big Dual carriage ways.

If I ever came across another car then the

"race" stops as it does if we come to a built up area etc.

Now when I say race I mean a blast in a straight line more or less.

None of this weaving in and out crap or round roundabouts etc.

I simply respect my car too much to behave like that.

You know what happens when you dont respect an MR2! I dont know about anyone else but I dont really wanna lose my MR2 or fork out for even more insurance after causing an accident.

I have had the luck of doing responce driving courses so I think differently when driving but still its no reason to behave like that.

You can't really tell if diesels been dumped on the road or even now with cheapo councils doing lame repairs to roads, one part of the road may be good the over part that the other side of the car is on may be really poor.

Whilst on this subject, Magazines like JP and Banzai should take more responsibilty also.

The amount of times I've read some one mapping their highly modded jap car on a public road at night just disgusts me.

Imagine the speeds etc they do!!!! The other day I came across a RX-7 being mapped on a bloody high street more or less!!! I had a quick chat and he said it was being mapped for town driving then they are gonna open it up at WOT later on

Cheek!!

Bottom line is be careful and mindfull of others.

P.S.

keep it civil.
