No because if you plug(dated technology) a PS3 pad into a 360, The 360 could not cope and would simply melt into a puddle like the T-1000 in Terminator 2.
PS3 pads work on PC's but only via charge cable, Don't think anyones managed to get it working wireless 100% yet.
They basically jus gutted a 360 controller of it's internals, replaced with the PS3 stuff, put it back together and hey presto, a controller that looks and feels like a 360 controller, but works with a PS3.![]()
No reason why you couldnt do the same thing the other way around other than it would be a giant leap backwards I spose.
I gutted my ps3 controller and retro fitted it into the atari 5200 controller as the atari 5200 hand set is a lot more ergonamic and comfortable![]()
they have said they are going to start charging for the psn, they didnt say they are going to start charging to play online, they also said that paying customers will get exclusive access to special content etc for paying.so it may not even be that you have to play to game
MS might make millions on XBL subscriptions, but Sony will be making a lot of money on advertising?
Swings and round abouts really.Much like BBC Vs ITV and how their income is raised.

It will mirror the XBL service, both in terms of price, and what you get.![]()
Thats so blindingly obviously even Ray Charles can see it coming!

MS make a killing in terms of advertising, all those demos, coming soon announcements, mini videos, mentions of downloadable content, announcing new games, avatar clothing and accessories etc
all paid for my the company who has made the game.

So they cream it on subs and advertsining, plus huge subsidies through the various synergies they have exploited like SKY, Zune etc
who will all be paying to appear in the XBL space
.
According to the IPSOS Online Research survey(sent to Kotaku), Sony's premium subscription plans would include access to full hour game trials, free access to PSOne Classics, and cross-game voice chat.
"Sony is considering offering a premium PlayStation Network subscription in the future," the survey says.

"The subscription offering would provide new premium features you could choose to pay for and are in addition to the features currently available for free such as access to online multiplayer gaming
(current features would remain free).
"
Premium users would also have access to Cloud Storage Space for Games, which would allow players to save their game online rather than on their hard disk, loyalty reward programs, automatic updates, member-exclusive Facebook Connectivity, an online music service and music video service, Hulu TV catch-ups, member-only game content, discounts, demo-sharing(sharing exclusive member-only demos from your full games with friends), and Netflix without a disc.

Clearly American focused with mention of Hulu and Netflix but that actually sounds pretty decent. It will be interesting to see which of those features actually become part of the Premium PSN and more importantly how much it will cost.

what do you get for
£40 a year on live? online gaming? great, a few demos that come to silver accounts within 2 weeks? even better.
atleast we can now store games to the cloud( great for me as my hdd is full of games)
access to betas, even better now i dont have to spend hours trying to find sites with free give aways
3year warrenty, with all the ylod's going around thats good, its either pay for a refurb or pay£7 a month and get a replacement?
(ms only did this because their consoles were dying left right and center)
demo sharing(psn give out demos to selected people sometimes and its really annoying when u dont get it, me and my bro have been trying to get him the gow 3 demo but cant yet i have it on my hdd but cant share it)
cross game voice chat(finally!! ps3 is like talking down a phone.
its in a different league to the muffled 360 chat)
full trials of games(only an hour but thats pretty good tbh, just think of all the games that dont get demos but you want to try out)
music shop sounds good also, could be like i tunes
face book,(this is free now, dont forget this list is from a servey)
catch up tv,(hope fully like play tv, as long as its better then that bt vision crap lol)
netflix without disk, atm for netflix on ps3 u need a disk, but they are changing that in the new year and netflix is coming to the uk.
£7 a month is hardley alot, its a whole
£2 more then the basic
£5 a month for live and you get a few good extras.
hardley braking the bank to be fair.
xbox live on the other hand is a rip off! paying to game is a big no no, i bought my game i pay for my internet and now i gotta pay to play it? just a big joke.
