That looks fabulous ... Have you made a "how to" guide to go with it by any chance?

No because if you plug (dated technology) a PS3 pad into a 360, The 360 could not cope and would simply melt into a puddle like the T-1000 in Terminator 2.

PS3 pads work on PC's but only via charge cable, Don't think anyones managed to get it working wireless 100% yet.

They basically jus gutted a 360 controller of it's internals, replaced with the PS3 stuff, put it back together and hey presto, a controller that looks and feels like a 360 controller, but works with a PS3.
No reason why you couldnt do the same thing the other way around other than it would be a giant leap backwards I spose.

I gutted my ps3 controller and retro fitted it into the atari 5200 controller as the atari 5200 hand set is a lot more ergonamic and comfortable :thumleft:

Couldnt agree more, looks vastly superior to the PS3 controller :thumleft:

they have said they are going to start charging for the psn, they didnt say they are going to start charging to play online, they also said that paying customers will get exclusive access to special content etc for paying. so it may not even be that you have to play to game

It will mirror the XBL service, both in terms of price, and what you get. That’s so blindingly obviously even Ray Charles can see it coming!

MS might make millions on XBL subscriptions, but Sony will be making a lot of money on advertising?
Swings and round abouts really. Much like BBC Vs ITV and how their income is raised.

MS make a killing in terms of advertising, all those demo’s, coming soon announcements, mini videos, mentions of downloadable content, announcing new games, avatar clothing and accessories etc – all paid for my the company who has made the game. So they cream it on subs and advertsining, plus huge subsidies through the various synergies they have exploited like SKY, Zune etc – who will all be paying to appear in the XBL space.

According to the IPSOS Online Research survey (sent to Kotaku), Sony's premium subscription plans would include access to full hour game trials, free access to PSOne Classics, and cross-game voice chat.

"Sony is considering offering a premium PlayStation Network subscription in the future," the survey says. "The subscription offering would provide new premium features you could choose to pay for and are in addition to the features currently available for free such as access to online multiplayer gaming (current features would remain free)."

Premium users would also have access to Cloud Storage Space for Games, which would allow players to save their game online rather than on their hard disk, loyalty reward programs, automatic updates, member-exclusive Facebook Connectivity, an online music service and music video service, Hulu TV catch-ups, member-only game content, discounts, demo-sharing (sharing exclusive member-only demos from your full games with friends), and Netflix without a disc.

Clearly American focused with mention of Hulu and Netflix but that actually sounds pretty decent. It will be interesting to see which of those features actually become part of the Premium PSN and more importantly how much it will cost.

All that? All what?
Most of it is stuff we already got - for free!

And where did £7 come from?
Don't you know $10 = £10

"Customer Service Priority Access"
What?

"Exclusive Experiences with Sony Brands"
What?

"Extended Console Warranty 3 Years"
Something that should be standard anyway!

"Access to Beta Games"
These will most likely be few and far between.

"Early Access to All Store Content"
We have it already for free.

"Member Demo Sharing of Full Game"
What?

"Cross-game Voice Chat Access"
Sounds interesting depending on how it's implemented.

"Full Title Trial - 1st Hour is Free"
Interesting.

"Token Wagering"
What?

"User-to-user Challenges"
It's all a bit vague!

"Free Access to PSOne Classics, PSP Minis, and PS3/PSP Themes"
They could give PSOne games away for free, there's no real revenue in them apart from the ones they currently charge for on PSN. Paying for themes is a bit silly anyway, like buying adverts! PSP Minis could be good though.

"Discounts on Store Content"
Interesting.

"Member Only In-game Content"
More likely to be stuff cut out for non-members

"Trophy Alerts"
Oh, like wow ](*,)

"Cloud Storage Space for Games"
I heard this was to be just for 'game saves', tinterweb isn't fast enough to host full games just yet, give it 10 - 20 years

"Online Music Service"
What's this exactly?
A shop to buy music? About time Sony had a 21st century outlet for 'Sony Music'. Surely a shop should be available to all? it's all a bit vague.

"Online Music Video Service"
Just like what we got now, for free.
Failing that, there's always YouTube :-k

"Automatic Downloads and Updates"
WHAT? Paying for updates to be automatic?

"Loyalty Program Rewards"
I'll show you loyalty when you fix my poorly built hardware that failed in under 2 years and you washed your hands with

"Facebook Connectivity"
Isn't that available now (since v3.1 ?) for free?

"Catch-up TV"
Aren't these usually free?

"Netflix Access Without Disc"
Interesting.

£84 but you get a fair bit more then on xbox.... what do you get for £40 a year on live? online gaming? great, a few demos that come to silver accounts within 2 weeks? even better.
atleast we can now store games to the cloud ( great for me as my hdd is full of games)
access to betas, even better now i dont have to spend hours trying to find sites with free give aways
3year warrenty, with all the ylod's going around thats good, its either pay for a refurb or pay £7 a month and get a replacement?
(ms only did this because their consoles were dying left right and center)
demo sharing (psn give out demos to selected people sometimes and its really annoying when u dont get it, me and my bro have been trying to get him the gow 3 demo but cant yet i have it on my hdd but cant share it)
cross game voice chat (finally!! ps3 is like talking down a phone. its in a different league to the muffled 360 chat)
full trials of games (only an hour but thats pretty good tbh, just think of all the games that dont get demos but you want to try out)

music shop sounds good also, could be like i tunes

face book, (this is free now, dont forget this list is from a servey)

catch up tv, (hope fully like play tv, as long as its better then that bt vision crap lol)

netflix without disk, atm for netflix on ps3 u need a disk, but they are changing that in the new year and netflix is coming to the uk.

£7 a month is hardley alot, its a whole £2 more then the basic £5 a month for live and you get a few good extras. hardley braking the bank to be fair.
xbox live on the other hand is a rip off! paying to game is a big no no, i bought my game i pay for my internet and now i gotta pay to play it? just a big joke.

As already stated storing a full game on the cloud is more effort than its worth. Specially as you keep telling me you can uograde the HDD with ease.

Betas you get access too for pre-ordering and buying other games most of the time and jus how many betas do you think they will be?

MS only offered the warranty because of the failures? Hello! why do you think sony are now doing it?

Atleast MS said it was free.

Demo sharing is a feature they made up. Everyone should get the main demos as they mostly always have.

I know you love the 360 but ive NEVER had a single problem with the voice chat and ive been doing it for about 6 years now.

The fact that sony have been promising it for ages now is just kinda funny.

The trials thing is the only really great feature from that list IMO.

MS will match and beat anything sony offer like they have done for the past 2 years when it comes to online.

When they do it wont cost £80 a year.

the ps3 has had about 8 betas since september and the 360 has had? im not even sure its had one tbh..
yes u can upgrade the hdd with ease but backing it up to external is a pain so the cloud would be alot better, uncharted 2 uses cloud for its online servers and its great, game modes change on the fly, every game you play is recorded and stored so you can go in and edit it etc, game dynamics can be changed whenever the devs think it needs to be changed without downloading a patch everytime you log on.

the ps3 failure rate... now im no expert but as far as i can tell its no where near as high as the 360. fair enough some people may have had thiers die in 2 years but ive had 360's that have lasted one week...
ms only added the free extended warrenty when they started getting sued left right and center.

im not sure if you have tried the ps3's private chat function but its crystal clear, if you have chance to try it then do so then go bk to 360 and you will notice a difference.

voice chat has been added before but they had to drop it before the firmware got released as some company (EA) got pi$$y, same with music (EA again) moaned that sony were adding it, but now they sorted the dispute music has been added (by music i mean ability to play ur own music while in game) now they have sorted the voice com dispute also its being added.
360 will TRY and beat ps3 but until they stop charging for online play its always going to be rubbish.

Have i missed something? Where does the £80 come from, $70 = £44 although I'm sure Sony will try rounding it up to about £60 for the EU anyway.

Nothing there really blowing my socks off, A few interesting things to note but i'll wait for an official statement before deciding if it's worth paying for, As long as gaming stays free i'm :D

Game demo's should be free for any console FFS, Give us a free demo, If we like it we buy the game, Not rocket science, Charging for demo access is disgraceful.

Music ??? Will that be vidzone related, You've messed with it for a few months so now you can pay if you want to keep using it.

Warranties ... As Johnny said this should be inclusive, They know there's a problem like the 360 with all this lead free soulder shyte and both machines are getting too hot and falling apart.

Free PS1 & Minis sounds quite decent of them but with all the new stuff coming out how many peeps will sit through an old game looking quite poor on a massive HD screen.

On a completely unrelated note if you have a PS3 and like online RPG's order DEMON'S SOULS from the US (axelmusic.com are the cheapest) Atlus don't have a EU publisher yet so no-one knows if it will surface over here officially yet and it took some time to get a US release. It it fantastic, It will test your patience for the first 10-15 hours as you will just spend most of the time dying and going over the same bit dozens of times but the game is massive and once you get past the initial annoyance and start leveling up your characters weapons/magic/abilities etc it's hard to put down.
