The time has come for me to part company with my pride and joy.

Sadly, it has to go as I'm supposed to be finishing my 1.5 project, but whilst the Tubby is around it isn't getting a look in.

I've owned the car for just over a year and it has to be one of the best mr2's I've had so far.

It's a 1992 Rev 2 Tin Top J registered Turbo.

It's the GTS model but is only missing the folding mirrors and the traction control from the top spec GT version.

It has abs, air con, climate control, part leather seats and steering front fog lights.

It always starts fine whether being used daily or once in a blue moon.

It's always warmed up gently before boosting and never shut off before the turbo has had chance to cool.

Oil is changed every 5000 km, the most recent change being 2000 km ago.

Currently the milage is showing just over 142000 km.

I've put 20000 km on the car since I've had it.

Mechanically the car is in excellent condition, it's recenty had new front droplinks and a cambelt.

Whilst the belt was off the water pump was changed too.

It passed it's mot last September with no advisories or issues.

Compared to standard rev2's this is a quick car.

The previous owner had it tickled by Trac Art.

Outside the car is standard, I do have a pair of scoops for it but have never fitted them.

These will be included in the sale.

It has a Blitz electronic boost controller running at a round about 1.1 bar.

I was told I could run it up to 1.2 bar by the last owner but it's more than quick enough as it is.

It is de-catted and has a Blitz air filter and Super Sound Blow Off Valve.

The turbo pulls very strongly with no oil leaks or smoke.

I have P1 Racing alloys on it in very good condition with T1 R's all round.

Bodywork is good with no rust.

There are a few minor scratches around but nothing that a good abrasive polish won't sort out.

The only thing is a small amount of laquer has come away from the boot lid

(around 5 cm2).

It was like that when I got it but it hasn't bothered me enough to get it sorted.

I think that's about it.

As said this is a very quick car, in good condition and well worth a look.

The car is based in Manchester, just of junction 23 of the M60, but can be taken to Wigan during the daytime.

As said I don't really want to sell the car but feel I must to progess with the 1.5 I need to re/build.

Hence looking for

£2400.

I may take offers but please, nothing too silly.

PM me.
