FACT: Toms air scoops do not give you extra horsepower
FACT: Simply flowing air to your filter from above rather than below will not yield more horsepower
FACT: Toms scoops are ugly as sin and ruin the shape of the car
FACT: This is my own opinion
FACT: Most people on IMOC take things far to seriously, I really dont care what anyone does to their car.

Yes they definitely do serve a purpose, when used in conjunction with the TOM's sealed air box on n/a cars.

The rest is negligible and really a matter for the IMOC stalwarts to argue over :-k

I got one and i like the look but i also want the flush headlights, i think the tom's looks good.............and as far as weather or not it does anything i don't think TRD would have made it if they didn't think it did something beneficial, they're pretty smart with toyota's. :thumleft:

Oh? I wasn't aware TRD included these as part of their Aero Package

A debate nearly as pointless as "Turbo .Vs. V6" debates :eye:

TRD didn't make them TOM'S made them for n/a cars where the filter sat in an enclosed box fed from the scoop.

Oh and you cant ram air down the engines throat, it will use exactly what it needs, you can put some nice desk fans next to the filter if you want but i promise you your horsepower increase will be........

Zero!

Fit a turbo or a supercharger if you want to force more air in.

Toms air scoops are for looks

ive got the pair on i like them wether it does or doesnt do anything to the engine performance i realy cant say or care tbh.Just because i like them doesnt mean the next person has to. Im not a particular fan of those big meccano spoilers but who cares if i dont
Constructive criticism is better than slating someone for something they like

Well thats my tupence :thumleft:
