Insurence, FCD and Gvalve?? also, power gains??

Post by jimGTS »

if i were to ad these to my motor, do i need to tell the insurence company???
(im already insured for the mods i have at the mo)

i know these 2 things would give me more power, but do i really need to tell the insurence company??? and if i did, are they gona know what they do?? (i dout it).

if my car was say 225bhp (220bhp plus TOMS exhaust), what sort of power gain could i have if i got these 2 bits and got it up to 15psi????

cheers people!

ps, i have a a/m boost gauge on the way!

Hi,

I wouldnt tell them about it, they will probably only get confused!! If you get into a prang or anything, just take the G-Valve off. the FCD is nice and hidden anyway....but again, easy to remove.

Personally I wouldn't tell them, as Paul says, easy things to remove, but to be honest they probably wouldnt check, unless something fell onto the engine lid etc.

Regarding the power. How do you know your motor is producing 225BHP? IF your car is producing 225 at present, then 15psi should see about 235/240 BHP with 240lbs of torque.

I only have one rolling road print for my car - it shows 225hp ...... so as far as a power increase goes I just say less than 5% - I just forgot to mention it was 225 at the wheels lol
Small turbos - they're not big and they're not clever!

Just say NO to small turbos!
