As said about, consoles should have a life of 10 years, minimum.
SamUK wrote:with regards to the new console.well see it before 2015 but they will continue to support the 360 and the original plan was for that to be a 10 year life.
Azz wrote:If any of you know what"Cloud Computing" is then you will know that this next generation of consoles could very well be the last.
Why upgrade your hardware every 3 years when you can pay a small subscription and have your game console/s, PC and even full company networks(Servers and Clients) hosted on a giant massively powerful server/machine/mega console which then send your session display to a tiny little box under your tv to convert the data into a usable image.
if you want Office 2012, Wii 2, new Gaming PC or a 50 user server based network you just add it to your subscription and away you go.

If you have used Terminal Services or Citrix you get the idea.![]()
Only the broadband is holding us back at the mo.but by the time the uk is covered in fibre it should be a reality.
I am training up on this now as its going to define the way everything is done and we don't plan on being left behind
(We already have our host and pricing agreed for our offering), granted it will take time to adopt but its the inevitable evolution of the way hardware has to go.
I wonder if I will have to pay 3 times as much for my Virtual Mac![]()
