How do you fix the 'Man in Dandism' mats to the floor?

Post by Frank Grimes »

My rev3 turbo still has the 'Man is Dandism' (WTF? LOL  ) mats in it, but they move around all over the floor and sometimes they're perilously close to the pedals. They each have 2 holes in them, but I can't see how they would fix to the carpet - does anyone know?

I wondered about this, I've got an eyelet in my driver's side carpet but no way of fixing the mats to it!

This has always puzzled me as well!
Think my best bet may be to get some Velcro strips?

You usually get these coarse threaded plastic screws that come with aftermarket mats that just screw into the carpet beneath. No idea, but Halfrauds or somewhere else might sell them separately?

So let me get this straight, there's a mat holder that's meant to clip into the eyelet that none of us seem to have?

yeah the clip is staggered and can swing around. The hole in the mat wont line up with the hole in the floor

Is it possible that these mats were made for a specific batch / model of 2's and thats why they dont line up with the hole in the floor?

Surely Toyota wouldnt have made a mistake like this in the design of the floor mats

I looked at my Apexi SAFC and foot to the floor I was only getting 78% throttle and was thinking WTF? moved the mat and I was getting 100%

Always possible I guess - the driver's one is pretty well worn and they were in the car when it came over from Japan but that doesn't really mean a lot :-k

I need these for my car. I have the hole in the mat and the carpet but no clip, slides around all over the place without it. Anyone got a part number?

Cheers :thumleft:
