It certainly looks good from the ads I've seen.

Can you play it without using the voice commands?

I'm sure I read in the review you do/can use voice commands for this too. I know what endwar is and didnt get it because I wasnt interested in voice commands.

I aint seen this yet, I'm going to try the demo.

Voice commands in games are a crazy idea, what the hell are you supposed to do when gf/wife falls asleep and you slip downstairs for a game of End War only to have to shout into the microphone "Return FIRE!!!".

Its hard enough getting on the xbox as it is!

it wouldnt let me switch the view back to near the plane and ill be damned if i could fly it from about 100 metres away.

dont think id be very good with a remote control plane.

Its just part of the demo. It tells you that you wont be able to get back to the other view untill you've completed some parts in the bad view.

I only got the demo, but in first level of demo, it allows you to switch to/from that view a couple of times so you know how to do it. But once you've done the stall bit, then you can't switch out of it.

In the 2nd level of the demo you can switch to/from it anytime :)

Would've been nice to be able to hover the Harrier

indeed one of the best bits about a harrier the fact that it can suddenly become a stationary missile platform

Also a bit unrealistic that ANY plane (well, the 4 I've flew in the demo) can do that cobra manoeuvre that only the likes of the SU-27, MiG-29 & F-22 (and a few new others) can do.

Despite that, I like the arcade-ness of it :)

The demo didn't exactly grab me and say "buy me" either but a couple of lads in work think it's amazing :-k

A follow-up to Dropship on PS2 would be nice for my dogfight fix.
