1994 - Black Rev3 T-Bar Turbo - UK Car - £2100

Post by ci_newman »

Hi guys!

Time to sell up and move on from the land of MR2. I need something with four seats!
Details as the title and further information is provided below, pictures first though! (more available on request):

As mentioned above, this is a UK car that was transplanted with a turbo engine from a 1992 donor car. The engine was sourced and fitted by 3S (TGT) in December 2007.
It is a T-Bar car with a leather interior. The t-bars do not leak and there are only a few marks on the leather.
I currently have it insured with A-Plan for £600/year FC which surprisingly works out cheaper than insuring a non-converted Turbo.

The car has covered 90k miles and the donor engine has covered 75k miles. Other than the engine, the car also has the following modifications:
*Polybush suspension
*Braided brake lines
*Gutted cat converter (not required due to age of donor engine)
*Fujisut Legalis R backbox
*ARC Intercooler
*Greenstuff front brake pads

I have an intensive S/H for the car and most of the work has been carried out by 3S since I purchased the car two 1/2 years ago. The main points to consider since ownership:
*Lower ball joints replaced
*Droplinks replaced
*Rear calipers, disk, pads and handbrake cables replaced in the last year
*Front calipers, disks & pads replaced in the last few months
*All fluids changed when the engine was swapped
*New cambelt & tensioner fitted with new engine
*New alternator fitted with new engine
*New clutch fitted with new engine

This car does need a little TLC but as the pics show, she is still in a very good condition for her age. For example there is a patch of welding needed on the O/S sill at the very back - This part of the sill isn't structural and passed the MOT. I was quoted £150 to repair this last summer.

MOT until December 2009 and I have just put 6 months tax on the car.

Priced fairly at £2150. If you have any questions then please let me know!

Nice car mate. I'd be tempted if I could get a decent price for my N/A.

Its a shame that you have to let her go for so little. Prices suck right now. Excellent bargain for someone.

Hi Chris,

has the stock gearbox also been replaced by the turbo-gear?

Could you post a pic of the motor?

Thx, Stephan
