Thanks for the input guys, i've had a look through the paperwork and as far as i can tell the last work done on the car was a cambelt change at 3S back in July 06

The new bulbs must be less resistant than the correct ones, it's a common problem on motorbikes when they replace the original indicators for tiny aftermarket ones, or the relay is knackered but I reckon it's the bulbs

I've never been too keen on the active systems and have always bypassed it, makes things alot more simple! If you want a simple good sounding system then a get a set of comps like Infinity Kappa's
(£45 and direct fit) and run them off your headunit
