Portugal - SPOTTED - Red Mk2 - February!

Ok this was back in February, been meaning to do this for a while to be honest. Mid/Central Portugal, possibly Tomar/Ferreira du Zezere/Satarem/Lake District area, red mk2 NA with UK plates, bloke and girlfriend/wife inside, was hootling along at a decent (but not stupid) pace, I tried to keep up in...

Re: my mr2 (kitty)

I'm sure the guys who dress up like Klingons and go to StarTrek conventions get lots of praise and questions about their costumes too, doesn't mean they actually look good. I dunno, Mailers looking pretty good in his Pink Star-Trek outfit today. He's getting lots of attention from the less-masculin...

Re: Nob in a Golf

Some twonk in a Golf did that to my mate the other day, going up the M1. Sat there, barely crawling past the middle lane traffic, so my mate being a sensible (ish) drive leaves him plenty of space. Then the traffic in lanes 1&2 die away, and this plonker sits there. Looks in his mirror a few tim...

Patch of Ice DOH

I'm absolutely shocked, and annoyed and very upset. This morning, as you may know, it's been snowing down in the South East. The weather has been bad for a couple of days, temperature dropping, odd bit of rain etc, and most importantly the resulting nasty icy patches. Anyway, I was driving to the st...

Re: i banged my car

Sorry, but the fact you call yourself 'Essexgirlracer' says it all. Nice to see some compassion on here for a fellow MR2 owner in an accident. We all make mistakes, so I doubt if she'll do the same manouvre again. Anyone else want to have a twist of the knife? Hmm maybe you're right. Maybe s...

Translation:

"I was putting my foot down way too much to catch up with the other cars, and suddenly hit a patch of TARMAC!"

Sorry, but the fact you call yourself 'Essexgirlracer' says it all.

Glad you're unharmed, but leave the racing for the track.

"me too!"

I'm interested in going to JAE too, but have no idea how I'm going to get in etc... I've read "You have to be a member of a car club". How do I prove that on the gate? "Yeah I'm a member of IMOC". "Prove it". "Erm....I know Steven and Mailer?" "Not ...

Re: Clutch Fluid Bleed - Where's the plug? Mk2 NA Rev1

In desperation now, I have uploaded three pics: http://www.kingside.co.uk/mr2/dsc00963.jpg http://www.kingside.co.uk/mr2/dsc00965.jpg http://www.kingside.co.uk/mr2/dsc00966.jpg (They're 2mb each, apologies in advance) If anyone is kind enough to ring the slave cylinder or draw a big arrow for dufus ...

Re: Clutch Fluid Bleed - Where's the plug? Mk2 NA Rev1

my '2s an NA. Do they have a different clutch system to the turbo? I'm about to give up as I can't see anything that resembles the BGB picture. Going back outside to have another go...... If I don't get this sorted, then I'll be crossing my fingers as I'm driving to Leeds tomorrow (from Londo...

Clutch Fluid Bleed - Where's the plug? Mk2 NA Rev1

Stupid question possibly:

Where exactly is the bleed plug? The diagram I have isn't actually very clear as to *where* the plug is. Doesn't appear to be around the cylinder....or maybe I just can't see it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Old Hat - But Clutch Pedal Adjustment

This afternoon I'm going to attempt adjusting the clutch pedal on my mk2 rev1 NA, as reccomended by a few of you guys. I have no idea how you do it so will be going in feet first no doubt :? how hard can it be.... Anyhow, was just wondering if there's anything in particular I have to watch out for? ...
