Still no reply :( Ive noticed a leak coming from the drivers side sun visor so im thinking that maybe the extrator canals for the sunroof mit be blocked and causing this. How ever if the water was running down the pillar do you think this could be whats affecting the central locking? as i know a fus...

Checked the fuses under the steering wheel and it allowed me to lock the car for a short period of time but now its locking sometimes but mostly not locking. Started to lock once i press the open button also ... so i press it and it opens and locks straight away .. but wont lock when i press the loc...

97 UK spec mk2 gt with the factory alarm and fob .. sorry for confusion

also it opens with the fob but just doesnt lock

Changed the Clutch Master and Slave Cylinder and in the process my mate left the door open which drained the battery. had to take it out and charge it up and it seems to be fine now. Geoff,

Thanks for the reply. The guy i got the car from said that he has replaced the gear oil as he actually got too much and gave me the remainder that he had sitting left over.

Hopefully get it fitted today to see if its fixed or not.

Was either Hydraulic Fluid or Power Steering Fluid .. hopefully when the part arrives on monday its easy enough fixed. What ever the fluid was anyway as soon as we started to bleed the system my mates noticed and said it wasn't clutch fluid

Found out that the problem was that the wrong fluid was put in. Had to order a new Slave Cyclinder today as the fluid was too thick and some of the seals were beat then.

That should be that then hopefully

Thanks for the reply .. yeah hopefully its handy enough to do.

My mates a mechanic and has a 4 poster lift im going to use so im hoping we get it done quick enough.

want to fix it before i bust the gearbox by ramming it in
