Re: Rev 5 tubby

If he hadn't bid second time around I'd have ended up £100 worse off. There clearly wasn't anything malicious intended, he just got duff info and pulled out because he didn't want to take the risk. Can't blame him for that, even if it was annoying at the time. Anyway, all done and dusted now. Job jo...

Re: Rev 5 tubby

Yes more fool you if you go through with it. Without his final bid, it would have sold for £100 less to someone else. I might have been annoyed about having to relist it, but £2,250 is better than £2,150. And to be fair to the guy, he seems like a good bloke (he's been and picked the car up now) Ve...

Re: Rev 5 tubby

Just to clarify, the buyer didn't report me to eBay or anything in the end and all was resolved with the original listing.

Re: Rev 5 tubby

I've put it back up for sale on eBay as the Second Chance Offer didn't look like being accepted.

I've added further information to the listing now, in a bid to avoid any doubt about the car's condition whatsoever.

I'd have to double-check to be on the safe side, but I'm pretty sure they're sorted - I can't say I noticed them when I was looking at the car.

Re: Rev 5 tubby

With all due respects thats a load of bo11ox...!! I'd like to see the report as mentioned i did one several months ago and it was all hpi clear and that was a proper hpi through hpi.co.uk not a mickey mouse mobile phone check...!!! Re: Rev 5 tubby

Well, it sold for £2,800. Unfortunately the winning bidder is under the impression that the car is recorded as accident damaged and is Cat C and is threatening to report me to eBay for being dishonest! You can't win, can you? The V5C mentions nothing about it being Cat C (or Cat D for that matter, o...

Re: Rev 5 tubby

Yeah, according to the topic with the original sale in, it was estimated to be at about 95K when it was sold in July/August 2011. So that means around 6-7 months before I bought it, so assuming it was a daily driver (unlikely, given the type of car) I'd estimate it's on around 101K now, which is sti...

Re: Rev 5 tubby

I've now updated the listing on eBay with the information from the sale thread linked to above, not in my interests to be dishonest! The reason I'm selling the car after 4 months is simply because at present I'm running five cars and I'm being forced to move house (landlord is selling my current hou...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Constant/battery feed voltage...

What's the normal voltage supposed to be to the head unit on the yellow (constant/battery feed) wire? My head unit no longer works after I tried to replace it, and having checked the fuses and tried a couple of other units known to work, I've got a multimeter out and on the ignition feed I get 11.86...

Re: Sloshy spoiler...

Have got the same problem with my Rev5 adjustable spoiler, sounds really weird when you close the boot! I'll have to take a hex bolt to the spoiler do adjust and see if I can get the water out - bu88ered if I can work out how it got in there though! Shouldn't be anywhere that water can get in, surely?

I'm 6'4", but I'm like a rake which possibly helps. With leather seats, I have about an inch of space above my head before the roof (tintop, not T-bar)

Re: New Rev5 Turbo owner, hello!

Aah, so it's an ex-club car then, that's comforting.

It passed a fresh MOT on the 23rd Feb anyway, with no advisories.

Re: New Rev5 Turbo owner, hello!

Yeah, "goose honk" is probably a good way to describe it! Good to know that it's somewhat normal - I'm not too bothered about it, in fact it's quite an interesting "quirk" of the car, I like it :) I'll get some pictures up as soon as I get a chance :) I'm taking my ST205 down to ...

Re: New Rev5 Turbo owner, hello!

Cheers :) Yeah, not too fussed about the odometer being in kilometres, just don't want to bother with mental calculations while "on the go" ;) No, oddly enough it's usually when I'm accelerating while going around a corner. There's no hard and fast rule about when it happens though. Assumi...

New Rev5 Turbo owner, hello!

Hi guys, Since Sunday I'm the proud owner of a Rev5 tubby (reg. R644 TKR, does anyone know if it's an ex club car?) So I thought I'd introduce myself! I'm a bit of a die-hard Toyota fan, had a variety of sporty (and not so sporty!) Toyotas, and currently have a GT-Four ST205 as well as the MR2, and ...
