Sloshy spoiler...

Post by riot68 »

Closing my boot the other day I noticed a watery sound, thought it was in the boot lid as last year had the 2 piece spoiler off and did some work. Took it off again and turns out it's in the rev1 2 piece spoiler itself, tried shaking it about from very angle and nothing will come out so have no clue how it got in and for life of me I cannot get the screws undone to take the 2 pieces apart, any suggestions? Tried an impact driver, maybe need to hit it harder :D ...

Yeah, had this before, if you remove the 2 screws from the inside of the boot lid that hold the spoiler there in the corners, water will come p1$$ing out.

Have got the same problem with my Rev5 adjustable spoiler, sounds really weird when you close the boot!

I'll have to take a hex bolt to the spoiler do adjust and see if I can get the water out - bu88ered if I can work out how it got in there though! Shouldn't be anywhere that water can get in, surely?

Had the same problem with my rev 5 wing, water had gotten between the 2 uprights and cross piece.

Going to order some new seals from Toyota to fit between the 3 sections.
