So how do you disconnect the ignition ring?

Do you think that could stop the drain? Hopefully that is the only thing that would be drawing power with the ignition left on? Ok, fair enough that makes sense now, thanks for the explanation. So basically the alternator puts out enough juice, its just not all getting to the bat so is not as efficient as it could be with thicker wires yeah?
