Use Autosol ( metal polish) on the exhaust.

00 Gauge wire wool on the exhaust then polish up with autosol.

Autosol is good to cut back but will leave haze in stainless once you cut back with autosol then use braso stainless /brass cleaner it works very well I use it on my sink,taps & brass door handles as well as me car £1.80 from morrisons
