Re: Matte paint
Yonger generation, I'm 39 - does that count \:D/ I figured as my paint is pants anyway it certainly wont make the car worth any less, and anyway I'll never sell it... I'm also hoping it will cover up my dodgy filler on the arches, but maybe that's not the best reason. I'm tempted. I'm looking for ex...

Matte paint
Hi all.
Sorry have not posted for a while.
.
.

How about matte
(mat?) paintwork for the mr2?
Actually for my car I was thinking about matte white.
It seems to show angles quite well and obviously there are a lot of angles on our mk1s.

Anyone done it, seen it.
Opinions please.

Re: Clutch Question
Mine bites really low which can easily lead to stalling or crunching Mine was the same but after I changed and bled the clutch fluid it all went back to 'normal'. I do have ~180k miles on (I think) the same clutch though, so it will need changing at some point - but changing the 'very black' clutch...

Mine were like this
- after I had not used the car for a year.

After 30mins driving it had pretty much gone but I do not think that did my pads any good using them to remove the rust.

Re: wheel arch repair
Thanks for the pics. Gives me a good idea of what to do. Do you have a pic of the finished (painted) arch? I'm interested in where the arch meets the channel on each side. Is it just a case of good filling to get it right... It's been raining here for a couple of days so when it stops I shall get so...

Re: wheel arch repair
Have you got anywhere with this yet? I'm going to do mine but I need help. The arch is only rusted about 6inches in the middle and it is the bottom 'folding inwards lip' and perhaps 1inch into the arch itself. Where would anyone recommend that I cut it out to? Still on the 'flat' part of the arch or...

Re: front shocks only
The handling of the car feels really 'soggy'. If I take a corner fast it feels like the car wants the roll over at the back (it does not tuck in and feels top heavy) and it 'wobbles' as I straighten back up. I'm guessing the shocks. So if I just change those should that make a world of difference? I...

Re: wheel arch repair
Haven't done it myself but I believe it is an N12 cherry or a 340 volvo is also a good fit.

I have to do this too so I'll let you do it first and learn from your mistakes

Re: K&N Air Filter fitting
Your right, it is the pressure difference. However because the vents are there and there is a big pressure difference then lots of air will be being pulled through the vents = air flow past the filter. just my 2p's worth.. Dave Edit: So does that mean if all those daft air scoops that we have seen s...

Re: Starting Trouble
Hi.

Could be a flat battery.
Try putting the headlights on and trying to start.
Do they go really dim?

Good luck.

Re: front shocks only
warning, rant ahead: I usually end up buying in uk, it's just really annoying that I can never find anything for this car (or any other interesting car) in NL. For example mongoose exhaust about 300 pounds in uk - here 695 euros (= 550 pounds). I mean why :( And if I get it from uk then I still have...

front shocks only
Hi all. I'm living in NL and as everything here is about 5 times what you guys pay in the uk and very rare (and 'cos I'm cheap) I was wondering about the following... I will change all 4 springs for lowered ones but I only want to change the front shocks (instead of all 4). Will this make the car ha...
