Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] My little MRPOO 2 project
Oh yeah, I do have a aftermarket intercooler. I thought so, with the disco turbo after some homework. I was. thinking to get a new turbo as my turbo has 150k miles on it and still going. Lol. Just thinking of the benefits of steel internals over ceramic. What would you recommend? I don't know which ...

Fuel solenoid resistor trouble
Hey Guys, Just having a spate of trouble on my MR2. My MR2 rev2, converted to rev3 engine has started to run on 3 cyclinders. Tracked it down to injector 3 having no pulse (no output from the ecu). Checked that the injector is working and all is good. So after hours of head stratching (starting to g...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] No P/S after rev3 conversion

Using the image below, I cut the PSCT. http://www.biststone.com/coyote-mr2/images/howto/3sgte_ecu_pins.jpg Nice and easy, i...

Still no joy with my P/S.

[Mk2] [Turbo] No P/S after rev3 conversion
Hi guys, I've just completed a rev3 conversion from a rev2. I've lost power steering. Someone pointed me in the right direction with no joy. I understand that ecu is sending or not sending the correct signal to p/s. How do I fix this? I read a thread somewhere but I lost the url. Help please. Thanks...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev2 to Rev3
Thanks for the speedy reply guys. Tried to locate the p/s relay. There's nothing in the boot next to the ecu. Only a green starter relay and fan control box. Unplugged anyway... No joy. Nothing else, other than the ecu. Located else where? :-k Will try swapping ignitor/coil today. Did not think as t...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rev2 to Rev3
Hey guys, I finally got round to doing it. I managed to swap from a rev2 to a rev3 engine. Fired up first time and runs sweet as a nut. Completly shocked how different the two engines are in terms of hardware and performance. 2 problems though... 1. I'm not built like Schwarzenegger so I'm not able ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] My car hates the wet
Yeah, you guys are right. It rained heavy over night and I went to check my king lead to the coil pack. It was soaking wet. What coil pack is everybody using? 5mm or 7mm? I looked at my friends MR2, he had a 7mm and it seems that seal is better to the king lead. Am i able to change to a 7mm coil pack?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] My car hates the wet
Cracked coil pack. Makes sense, icy cold temperatures and water don't mix, unless you want a bigger crack. I'll take a look. Is there a mod you can do to prevent water from entering the coil pack area? I know that TVR drivers used to use lunch boxes etc to prevent excess water entering the ignition ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] My car hates the wet
Ryan, it sounds like you had the same problem.
Tho after a heavy down pour last night, i couldn't start the car today.
All the usual parts are less than 6months old, i don't understand.
It just hates the wet.

I can't just keep on buying dizzy and rotor every 6months.

If it's dry, all is fine.

[Mk2] [Turbo] My car hates the wet
Hey guys, I have a persisting problem and it only happens when it's wet. Every time i drive in the rain, the car misfires. Especially when i hit a big puddles or heavy rain. Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] carbonfibre gt sytle rear wing
I have a carbon GT wing just like "k11cpc's" up for sale if you're interested. I brought it 2nd hand so it has been drilled and fitted on another car before. I think it was a RX-7 FC. Only thing that are missing are bolts and nuts. None were supplied to me. PM, if you're interested and i'v...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rev3 Conversion
I have a opportunity to convert my rev2 tubby to a rev3 tubby, but i don't know what i'm gonna to gain out of it besides power! The reason why i'm considering it, is mainly because i suspect my head gasket has gone. I'm losing plenly of water. Is it worth doing (engine swap)? Also, is it possible to...
