it comes to a point with gze ecu's and the knock sensor to just ditch the ecu and chuck a aftermarket one on. get it tuned right and no need for knock sensors.
I love using sprung center ceramic puk clutches with bigger clamp pressure plates. If you use a reputable clutch builder they can change the fulcrum point of the fingers on the pressure plate and still have pedal feel of a stock oem clutch, saves building one leg bigger than the other like the old d...
MS will work with any 4age. It uses it's own map sensor.
I've had good luck running the old EMS Stinger 4424 v.4 on my 4ag's. It too has it's own built in map sensor.
An engine is a engine, aftermarket ecu's can be wired/used to run on any of them. Now days all have their own map sensor.
almost sounds like a vacuum leak, or a VSV playing up.
you wont hear the charcoal canister of the noise of the engine.
internet diagnosis is a pia.... haha
ran my jdm 4agze swap on the stock na fuel pump for many years, even when i converted to turbo. never had an issue or lean out up to 18psi. used the stock 4agze fpr.
glad to see you are finally going to do a 4agte Paul!!! how is it going? got far? As you probably know I've had 4agte's since 2002, I love em. My current 4agte is using a GT2554r turbo @ 18psi on the stock 4agze ecu. LSD C52 and I run a w2a I/c set-up. It still retains the stock 4agze inlet manifold...
I'm sure last time I had both sides out together they were different, but only because of the way they mount each side. even a different colour tape on the wiring harness. I've only ever seen the cog on the motor fail, they are reasonably easy to change. just a bit fiddly 1st time round. a pair of s...
thank you for the reply people. some interesting reading. looking at Barney's original add there is some nasty rust in that car. more than I would think looking at the pictures in the gumtree add I posted. more than I would like to see in such a sweet car and more than I would like to see to be able...
ah ok. thanks for clearing that up everyone. it's been a while since I seen stuarts car, and worked on it for that matter. :) just came across that add and had some shivers up my spine as I havnt heard from old mate for a long time and had thought something bad might of happened. so if any of you se...
i've personaly run 12psi on stock 7 rib 4age internals. was releible and went like the clappers! mind you i had a w2a i/c and was useing 4agze engine management, injectors etc. i know people down here and abroad have used stock 4age engine management with boost, but they did have to do 'so...
hi, paul. can you tell me what colour your spax springs are? i think i have a set i picked up that i've put on my na beasty they are a dark green in colour. just running stock shocks until can afford some koni's. but anyways, very happy with the firm ride they offer.
IT has been done on the 4age and MR2's everywhere in the world reliably (except the UK). however there are a few 4agze conversions to turbo running now (in the uk, loads elsewhere), but no low pressure conversions on std N/a internals (that i'm aware of) The USA and australia have quite a few, all ...
