[Mk2] [Generic] Front engine mounting

Want to upgrade my V6 fitted with S54 without using poly bushed mounts. Is the Mk2 front engine/transmission mounting different ie harder rubber on the turbo than the n/a and if so would it fit the n/a gearbox, part nos would be appreciated becuase Toyota say they are the same?
Thanks

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Suspension noises

I found the knocking eventually, very definitely in the category of time consuming frustrating obscure fault finding so just to pass it on as it may be of use to others. The rear strut inserts were replaced 3 years ago but decided to take them off to investigate. At first the struts appeared to have...

[Mk2] [Generic] Suspension noises

Help please as I’ve run out of ideas. Have a Rev1 Mk2 Paul and have had various knocks and rattles from the rear end which have disappeared one by one as I’ve replaced worn components as listed below but there’s one left which I cannot trace. The second list below is all the things I’ve checked. The...

Water wetter

A good idea for winter running just wondered if any s...

Rev1 suspension

Just looking at lowering a rev1 n/a by about ½” without affecting the ride. How much shorter do rev 1 front and rear springs have to be to lower the car by ½”? The road springs on Rev 2 onwards n/a’s were slightly shorter than Rev 1’s but were made stiffer I think. Does anyone know what the front an...

T bar rattles

Toyota sell the replacement plastic bushes that fit into the roof either side as well as the bushes that fit on the T bar roof panels. £15 the lot. Completely cured my rattles. They also sell an off-set adjustable version to compensate for worn/leaking roof seals
