Re: [Mk2] [NA] How Easy is it to Replace Rear Quarter Glass?

OK so I swapped the old smashed glass with the replacement. Was pretty much as you guys said. Everything came out really easy. I didn't even have to use gloves to pull the smasehd glass out (Only sustained minor injuries  ). The black gunk was sticky but pealed away in one peice so left hardly...

[Mk2] [NA] How Easy is it to Replace Rear Quarter Glass?

Some little toerag has smashed my o/s Rear q glass. I have sourced a 2nd hand replacement from a yard and would like to have a go at fitting it myself to save costs. Is this possible or would a car glass expert need to do it? Thanks

[Mk2] [NA] Dead battery and engine cooling fan light

Went to start my car this morning and was greeted by the sound of a dead battery which is very unusual as had no problems with it and go on plenty of long journeys. Came back later only to find it did reluctantly start so I though I'd take it on a bit of a drive to charge it up, alas 50 yards down t...

[Mk2] [NA] WIll This cigarette Lighter fit?

I'm wondering whether this lighter will fit in my 1990 N/A. Looks similar http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-MR2-Mk2-SW20-Cig-Cigarette-Cigar-Lighter_W0QQitemZ280078107660QQihZ018QQcategoryZ10428QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem As the auction suggests, I'm asking the knowledgeable people at imoc! how...

Gear Linkage

I got mine from rogue systems about £55. Very easy to fit, just be careful when ur pulling out the split pins that hold the linkage to the gearbox pins, they are easy to lose! check out the guide from the knowledge base http://www.roguesystems.co.uk/static/home.aspx

Re: gear change

When I changed mine over I found a "How to" guide somewhere on the web. Just looking for it although cant seem to find it again, anyone else help out here? You should see the cables if you just lift off the gear gaiter. They connect directly to the stick.

Gear Change

When i first got my 1990 N/A my gears were very stiff too. I first tried changing the gear linkage cables, easy to change and about £40-50 second hand for the pair. However this didn't seem to cure the problem so the next time i took it for a service I asked the garage to have a look at it and the p...

Recommendations for wheel alignment please (east anglia)

I'm about to have the top mounts renewed on my Mk2 1990 N/A. As I've never had the wheels aligned before i guess now is a good time. Can anyone recommend a place in Ipswich or near by?
Thanks

Where can I buy a pair of front stock springs?

I'm getting the top mounts changed and was advised to get the springs done at the same time. I only want to replace them with stock ones. Is Mr T my only option. All the online stores only seem to stock the lowered ones.

Top Mounts

I'm also in need of new top mounts, Just wondered whether you checked the price of new ones with the main dealer? I was looking at the ones on the twosrus website which are £84 each so the Fensport ones seems a lot chaper, however my rubber sleeve has also perished (oo-er), a new one is included wit...

Knocking

I have the same problem on my '90 Mk2 NA, When I turn Left at low speeds I get a couple of knocking sounds. I also notice my car pulls to the left very slightly whilst driving. I'm not sure if this is related. Whilst inspecting the car I noticed a big difference in the gap between the tyre and the w...

Aircon Pully

When I had my cambelt changed recently the mechanic took of what he called the front pully. He said it was corroded and wasn't necessary as it only drives the A/C or power steering, of which I have neither (Rev1 Mk2 NA). If it is the same one as your refering to its internal diameter is apprx.115.5m...

[Mk2 NA] Cambelt changed - loss of power!

I recently had the cambelt changed on my Mk2 N/A by a local garage. Now when I accelerate there is definately a lack of power compared to before it was changed. Not only that but when I apply the gas it seems to judder a bit and then pick up all of a sudden. Is it possible something is slipping or d...
