yep they are great there, I have a modded A3 TDi and no one could pin point the problem i was getting (tried 4 garages and had 4 different opinions) took it to them and they sorted it... and cheap! lots and lots of lovely cars always there as they are a very well reputed company.

hi, i have a rev1 turbo that the bottom end has gone on. I'm looking to replace the engine but can i replace the engine with a 3sge or will i have to change wiring/ecu or sensors etc?

yeah im having the pistons and conrods all lightened and made equal weights. i just want the engineering shop to lighten each part on its own incase of failure in the future. I will see what they have to say monday. ive just ordered a alloy crank pulley to keep weight down to :)

ive asked them about that, but they have said the only way they do it is all together :? is this because it saves time?

yeah mate, bang on! they balance the pistons, conrods, crank, crank pulley, flywheel and clutchplate all in one go. i just missunderstood what part of the clutch gets machining.

ive got a bit of expierience of porting and polishing (done a few bikes and had good results) ive got two heads sitting here both good. forgot to mention i was going to use arp headbolts and its just had a new timing belt with the tensioner, but im going to use a new belt for piece of mind. not look...

hi, im rebuilding a rev1 tubby and im in two minds wether to just check the engine over and do "what needs doing" or to go all out and do this: 1 new race conrod bearings 2 new race bottom end bearings 3 full gasket kit 4 cometic headgasket 5 new timing belt 6 lightened and ballanced crank...

i did see that one on ebay but its an st205 gasket set so i dont know how much of it i would be able to use on my st185 block and head. ive heard toyota charge silly prices but will try camskill but what is tcb?? :roll: thanks for the replies!

ive just started the ball rolling. ive got in contact with my mechanic who may be willing to do the job for cheap aswell. the only thing hes concerned with is the kit may flex and crack during the swap. wish id had thought about this before fitting the kit ](*,) oh well we live and learn :cry:

skinthespin- are you saying that there will be no/minimal cutting of the firewall? and do you think its possible to use the gearbox from the audi as many have a 6 spd box? thanks dale it means alot to me im itching to get a v8 in there now!!! especially with a six speed box!! i can use a genuine 355...

yep, headlights have been moved 6" forward and ALL of the 355 kits foglights are wrong so i corrected mine by moving them 1" further back, also the door scoops had a little panel in that the was meant to be painted black to give the impression that the scoops are wider than they actually a...
