To be honest Infinity Ward would be better breaking away and making their own title rather than trading on the COD brand.

COD4 set the bar for FPS games and I am pretty certain that if they released another game of the same vein under a different name and it would do just as well.

Maybe that why Infinity Ward are not developing COD5 and why it and its been placed elsewhere?

Its gona jump between games.

COD:WAW is gona be made by Treyarch (COD3 developers) and then the next COD game will be developed by Infinity Ward.

That way they can create the games quicker and get them released sooner into the market. Bad idea.

don't really think it matters when it's set to be honest, it's just that COD3 was absolutely pants in multiplayer, i'd bet i could quite happily still play COD2 tho, it was ace, COD4 is the daddy as far as FPS online games go, Halo seems so sssssssssssllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww after playing it

WWII has been rinsed more than a pensioners hair ffs.
Why keep doing the same old thing, over and over.
It's not just COD either, there's so so so many WWII games out there.
I hate all of them. Why not be original, lets make a WWI game instead. That war hardly ever gets any coverage!!

cod3 was appauling compared to cod 2 and 4! inifinity ward should keep it its just like how shanghai studios killed splinter cell double agent! if it aint broke dont fix it even more so dont give it a bunch of muppets to try and make it better

WW2 has definately been done to death. I it definately makes a difference where and when these games are set.

COD4 is now the bench mark, not only for the rest of the COD games to follow but for EVERY FPS that comes out.

COD2 was excellent. COD4 even better. Modern or futuristic is the only way to go from now on.

what annoys me is they keep saying its set in a brand new setting.


well did anybody else stop and wonder where they were when playing any other ww2 game? i barely even took notice of the cutscenes so i dont get how they think this will be a brand new setting cos it wont look any different.
