so metal gear 4 hits the shops 2morrow! any1 else as excited as me?
metal gear 4 is the only reason i brought my ps3.
i love metal gear solid all the games have been awsome and the stories have been superb.
anyone else gettin it this week?

what kind of game is it? "tatical espionage" apparently all of the metal gear games have been fantastic they are my all time fave games.
yes its playstation exclusive although i can almost garentee that some1 will come along and say its comin to the 360....

this really is 1 game you should buy for ur ps3 i REALLY recomend any of the metal gears.

Konami have said they can't afford not to bring it to other systems later on so time will tell. But as Thai has stated it's a PS3 exclusive so it's carp anyway and you're not missing much

MGS on the ps1 was great, then the sequels were a bit meh, this one is apparently 50% cut scenes and some of them last 20 mins

i can live with that, i love the metal gear cut scenes they've always been great. i finished metal gear 2 19 times yes sad i no but i just love these games. my shop dont open till 11 so i cant go get it till then might have to have a bash on war hawk while i wait.
oh and all the other metal gears have been sony exclusivse apart from the 2 on the nes/snes and mgs 2 substance on the 360 but that really didnt work...

That's the thing that makes Metal Gear great. You're are immersed in a tory, a very in-depth story and you play the role of the lead character.

The whole game plays out like one action packed film. The cut scenes are great to watch as they are like watching a movie. Judging by the posts I can see that the MGS franchise are a marmite kind thing.

All I can say is that once you play these games, within the first 5 minutes you are immersed. You cannot judge them by just what the synopsis says or what you believe them to be like. Millions of people all over the world cannot be wrong...MGS4 is the most eagerly awaited game ever made, that says something.

heard that 2 guess ill find out soon, and im not a fan boy in the slightest the only reason i brought the ps3 was for mgs4 but u just wont give any ps3 games a chance for some reason and i dont quite understand that.... u say theres not any worth buying because uve been watching game trailers? or having a 5min bash on a friends ps3.... hardley a basis to judge an opinion on....

ermm...no mate! It REALLY isn't! I've hardly heard any hype about this game and I'm well into my games and also got a lot of mates that are too, one of them being THE biggest MGS fan ever!

I've played MGS and completed MGS2 just got bored with them. Its the same thing in all the games.

I know games like these are definately marmite games and horses for courses. Not for me.
